Wow. The first two months of the year really flew by, didn’t they?
March is here, along with a huge snowstorm in New York (ugh), so it’s time to talk about my February Favorites! Thanks to the weather, there are mostly skincare products on the list this time around. Let’s jump right into it.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I first saw this product in a grav3yardgirl video, and then it started popping up all over Instagram. I am a sucker for anything lavender scented, so I picked it up the last time I was at Ulta. The Mario Badescu Facial Spray is super inexpensive and oh my god I don’t think I can properly explain to you all how good it smells. It’s really lovely.
Because it’s so calming, I like to spray it on top of my moisturizer at night when I’m winding down. It’s also great to carry around in your purse for whenever your skin needs a little refreshing (I’ve had no problems spraying it over makeup).
I highly recommend this stuff. Links below!
Garnier SkinActive Moisture Bomb
Forget anything I have ever said about any other moisturizer ever. I am obsessed with Garnier’s Moisture Bomb products.
The moisturizer is super lightweight and I love the gel-cream consistency. It absorbs into the skin nicely and doesn’t leave me looking oily, so it’s perfect to wear during the day and under makeup. Also, it has Hyaluronic Acid, which really puts some life and bounce back into my skin.
The sheet masks are great as well. Even my girlfriend, who is rarely convinced that anything other than basic skincare is worth her time, has been using these masks twice a week. There are a few different kinds, but the glow-boosting one is my favorite because of the floral scent. The masks leave my skin feeling so soft, and they never irritate my skin (which is really saying something).
The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey
I’ve never really been into hand creams. While the rest of my skin is super temperamental, I find that my hands – for whatever reason – never get dry. But I’ve been carrying The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey hand cream around in my purse and using it for weeks now just because it smells that good.
Body butter, however, is a different story. I love body butters. I rely on them. Without them I would look and feel like an iguana. I am a big fan of The Body Shop butters, and this one is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It’s faintly sweet and great for anyone who likes subtle fragrances.
L’Oréal Galaxy Lumiere Holographic Lip Gloss
I’ll wrap this up with one non-skincare product. My girlfriend grabbed this Galaxy Lip Gloss for me on a whim at Ulta. I had been eyeing it but was unsure if I could pull it off. At first glance, it definitely looks like it could be a bit much.
However, it’s actually light and subtly holographic when applied. The pink shade in particular is really pretty and fun to wear on its own, but it also looks awesome when used over bolder lip shades. I’m going to be doing a whole look involving this product soon, so keep an eye out for it!
That wraps up my February Favorites. Let me know if there is anything new I should try this month!
